HR Generalist
Location: Greater Indianapolis | Full-time
Nmble Medical is partnering with a trusted local outpatient clinic to add an experienced HR Generalist to their growing team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being hands-on across HR functions—supporting employees and leaders while ensuring HR processes remain compliant, organized, and people-centered.
You’ll help strengthen the clinic’s HR foundation by supporting recruiting, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, policy implementation, and HR compliance.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Support & HR Operations
Serve as a point of contact for employee HR questions (policies, benefits, time off, workplace concerns)
Support employee relations matters with professionalism, discretion, and documentation
Assist leaders with performance documentation, coaching support, and corrective action processes
Maintain personnel files and HR documentation in compliance with clinic and legal standards
Recruiting & Onboarding
Coordinate hiring efforts including job postings, candidate screening, interview scheduling, and reference checks
Support onboarding and orientation for new hires (clinical and non-clinical roles)
Partner with clinic leadership to improve hiring workflows and employee experience
Benefits, Leave, and HR Compliance
Assist with benefits enrollment, employee changes, and vendor coordination
Support leave of absence requests (FMLA/State leave where applicable) and accommodations
Ensure compliance with federal/state labor laws and clinic policies
Help update HR policies, procedures, and training materials
Culture & Engagement
Help promote a positive workplace culture aligned with patient care excellence
Support employee recognition, engagement activities, and retention initiatives
Assist with training coordination and internal communications
Qualifications
Required
2+ years of HR experience (HR Generalist, HR Coordinator, HR Specialist, or similar)
Knowledge of HR best practices and employment law basics
Strong communication skills and ability to handle sensitive issues confidentially
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Proficiency with HRIS systems and Microsoft Office / Google Workspace
Preferred
HR experience in a healthcare setting (clinic, hospital, urgent care, home health, etc.)
Experience supporting multi-site teams or fast-growing organizations
Familiarity with credentialing, provider onboarding, or healthcare compliance workflows
PHR, SHRM-CP, or related certification
