Healthcare Cybersecurity Analyst

Nmble Medical Hiring Solutions is partnering with a growing healthcare organization seeking a Healthcare Cybersecurity Analyst to support information security, risk mitigation, compliance, and infrastructure protection initiatives across healthcare operations.
This role is responsible for monitoring security systems, identifying vulnerabilities, supporting incident response efforts, and ensuring compliance with HIPAA and healthcare cybersecurity standards. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and passionate about protecting sensitive healthcare information and operational systems within fast-paced healthcare environments.
Key Responsibilities
Monitor healthcare systems, networks, and applications for security threats and vulnerabilities
Support incident response investigations and cybersecurity remediation efforts
Conduct security audits, risk assessments, and compliance reviews
Assist with implementation and maintenance of cybersecurity protocols and security tools
Ensure compliance with HIPAA, healthcare privacy regulations, and organizational security standards
Collaborate with IT, operations, and leadership teams to strengthen cybersecurity awareness and best practices
Monitor user access controls, endpoint protection, and system activity
Support vulnerability management, phishing prevention, and security awareness initiatives
Maintain documentation related to security incidents, audits, and compliance activities
Assist with disaster recovery and business continuity planning initiatives
Qualifications
Required
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field preferred
2+ years of cybersecurity, IT security, or healthcare IT experience
Knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, network security, and risk management principles
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Understanding of HIPAA compliance and healthcare data security
Preferred
Experience in healthcare IT or healthcare systems environments
Familiarity with SIEM tools, endpoint security, firewalls, and vulnerability scanning
Security certifications such as Security+, CISSP, or CEH preferred
Experience with EMR/EHR systems and healthcare infrastructure security
