CT Technologist

Location: Charlotte, NC | Full-time | Nights & Weekends

Nmble Medical is partnering with a well-known and respected healthcare organization in the Charlotte, NC area to hire a CT Technologist for a full-time night & weekends shift role.  Responsibilities

  • Review and verify imaging orders for accuracy; consult with Radiologists and ordering providers to resolve discrepancies

  • Accurately identify patients using two identifiers and clearly explain procedures to ensure understanding and comfort

  • Obtain and document complete patient medical histories by reviewing EMRs and correlating lab and test results

  • Take full ownership of each exam from start through completion of final results

  • Prepare and administer IV contrast according to protocols; document type and dosage when required

  • Evaluate image quality and collaborate with Radiologists to ensure diagnostic accuracy

  • Recognize abnormal anatomy and perform additional imaging, reconstructions, or measurements as needed

  • Perform CT scans and assist Radiologists/PA during invasive procedures using proper sterile technique

  • Follow all infection control, isolation, and bloodborne pathogen safety protocols

  • Provide basic patient care and notify nursing staff of any changes in patient condition

  • Respond to emergencies, including initiating life support and assisting in code situations

  • Obtain medications or contrast materials as directed for administration by licensed practitioners

  • Practice strict radiation safety standards to protect patients, staff, and yourself

  • Report malfunctioning equipment to leadership and engineering teams

  • Maintain knowledge and safe practices in environments with potential exposure to infectious diseases

  • Follow all hospital safety procedures, including fire safety and required training modules

  • Perform effectively in high-pressure or emergency situations where time is critical

  • Work rotating shifts as required, maintaining punctuality and adherence to attendance policies

  • Operate radiology systems to enter orders, charge procedures/supplies, and document contrast in the MAR

  • Maintain a clean, organized, and fully stocked work environment

  • Collaborate with other medical staff, including nursing and anesthesia teams, during procedures

 

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Radiologic or Nuclear Medicine Technology program (AMA-approved)

  • ARRT (Radiography) or NMTCB certification required

  • CT certification (ARRT) required within 1 year of hire

  • Current CPR certification

  • Strong knowledge of CT imaging, patient care, and safety protocols

  • Ability to work independently and perform effectively in high-pressure situations

 

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift and move patients, equipment, and supplies (moderate to heavy effort)

  • Frequent standing, walking, bending, twisting, squatting, and kneeling

  • Work in varying physical environments, including hard surfaces, stairs, and near moving equipment

  • Adherence to radiation safety practices to minimize exposure
