Nmble Hiring is partnering with a leading healthcare organization to identify a skilled and compassionate CT Scan Technologist to join a growing diagnostic imaging team serving patients throughout East-Central Michigan. As a CT Technologist, you will perform high-quality computerized tomography and radiographic imaging procedures while ensuring patient safety, comfort, and adherence to radiation protection standards. Working closely with radiologists and healthcare providers, you will play a critical role in diagnostic imaging and patient outcomes.
Responsibilities
Diagnostic Imaging & Patient Care
Perform CT imaging studies according to established protocols and physician orders.
Differentiate between normal and abnormal anatomy and adjust examinations based on patient history, protocols, and physician guidance.
Administer IV and oral contrast agents according to departmental and organizational standards.
Monitor patients throughout imaging procedures and accurately document patient information and observations.
Obtain pertinent clinical histories and assess patient readiness for imaging procedures.
Safety & Compliance
Ensure radiation protection practices are followed for patients, staff, and self.
Utilize shielding and collimation techniques when appropriate.
Maintain compliance with imaging, safety, and regulatory standards.
Recognize adverse reactions to contrast materials or emergent medical conditions and assist in patient treatment as needed.
Clinical Support
Assist physicians during sterile procedures.
Obtain vital signs and perform venipuncture as required.
Maintain accurate patient records and imaging documentation within electronic systems.
Support quality assurance and continuous improvement initiatives.
Team Collaboration
Train and mentor new staff and students on departmental procedures and protocols.
Assist with clerical responsibilities when needed.
Collaborate effectively with physicians, nurses, and ancillary departments to ensure excellent patient care.
Qualifications
Required
Associate Degree in Radiologic Technology or related field.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire).
Registered Radiologic Technologist (ARRT) certification (or ability to obtain within one year of hire).
ARRT CT Certification (or ability to obtain within three years of hire).
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Windows and healthcare imaging systems.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Preferred
Previous CT imaging experience.
Experience with RIS, PACS, and hospital information systems.
Advanced knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and contrast administration.
Physical Requirements
Ability to stand, walk, bend, and move throughout the workday.
Ability to occasionally lift or carry up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Ability to respond effectively during emergency situations.
