Healthcare Financial Analyst

We are seeking a Healthcare Financial Analyst to join their finance and operations team and play a key role in strengthening our financial performance and supporting data-backed decisions across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Planning & Analytics
Develop and maintain budgets, forecasts, and multi-year financial models.
Conduct variance and trend analysis to identify financial risks and opportunities.
Support capital planning and organizational growth initiatives.
Service Line & Profitability Analysis
Perform profitability analysis for clinics, providers, and service lines.
Evaluate cost structure and identify opportunities for cost improvement and operational efficiency.
Analyze business unit performance and prepare executive-level summaries.
Reimbursement & Claims Analytics
Interpret claims, billing, and reimbursement data from Medicare, Medicaid, and commercial payers.
Model reimbursement impacts for contract changes, regulatory updates, or shifts to value-based care.
Monitor payer performance trends and support denial reduction efforts.
Operational & Strategic Support
Build dashboards, reports, and visualizations to support decision-making across departments.
Partner with operations and clinical leadership on key initiatives.
Provide financial insights supporting value-based care programs and population health efforts.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Business, Economics, or related field.
2–5 years of experience in financial analysis, revenue cycle analytics, healthcare accounting, or similar roles.
Strong proficiency in Excel (advanced formulas, modeling) and SQL.
Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, or similar).
Knowledge of healthcare reimbursement models (Medicare/Medicaid, RVUs, DRGs, APCs, fee-for-service, and value-based care concepts).
Strong understanding of cost accounting principles.
Ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in medical groups, hospital systems, or health networks.
Familiarity with EHR/EMR systems (Epic, Athenahealth, Cerner, etc.).
Experience with financial ERP systems.
Knowledge of value-based care metrics, risk adjustment, and population health analytics.
