PRN Healthcare Provider (NP/PA/MD/DO)
Location: Charlotte, NC Metro | Multi-site | PRN
Nmble Medical is seeking a PRN Nurse Practitioner (NP), Physician Assistant (PA), or Physician (MD/DO) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care within employer-sponsored health centers across the Charlotte, NC area. This role offers flexibility, supporting coverage needs for PTO, holidays, and sick time.
You will practice across five health centers within a 30-mile radius, delivering comprehensive primary and urgent care services to employee populations in a collaborative, team-based environment.
Responsibilities
Perform comprehensive physical exams and preventive health screenings
Diagnose and treat acute and chronic conditions
Perform procedures including injections, suturing, wound care, and infection management
Develop and implement individualized care plans and ensure continuity of care
Order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests and labs
Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state regulations
Educate patients on treatment plans, prevention, and overall wellness
Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams for coordinated care
Facilitate referrals to specialists as appropriate
Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant electronic health records (EHR)
Support and mentor clinical staff on best practices
Participate in additional duties as needed to support health center operations
Qualifications
Master’s degree in nursing (MSN) or higher
Active RN and NP, PA, MD, or DO licenses in North Carolina
Current national certification (AANP or ANCC required)
Active DEA license in North Carolina
Current BLS certification
Strong clinical judgment with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Excellent communication and patient engagement skills
Work Schedule
PRN / as-needed basis
Coverage for PTO, holidays, and sick leave
Travel between sites within the Charlotte region (≤30 miles)
