Quality Improvement Specialist
Location: Miami- Fort Lauderdale Area (multi-site) | Full-time | Hybrid
The Quality Improvement Specialist will play a key role in advancing quality initiatives across multiple outpatient centers in the South Florida region. This individual will collaborate with clinical and operational teams to identify opportunities for improvement, implement data-driven strategies, and ensure adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and support quality improvement (QI) initiatives across outpatient centers
Analyze clinical and operational data to identify trends, gaps, and opportunities
Develop and implement performance improvement plans
Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and report on outcomes
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements (e.g., CMS, Joint Commission, AAAHC)
Conduct audits, chart reviews, and workflow assessments
Collaborate with leadership and staff to drive process improvements
Provide education and training on quality standards and best practices
Support accreditation readiness and survey preparation
Foster a culture of continuous improvement and patient-centered care
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Public Health, or related field (Master’s preferred)
3+ years of experience in healthcare quality improvement, preferably in outpatient or ambulatory settings
Strong knowledge of healthcare regulations and accreditation standards
Experience with data analysis, reporting tools, and performance metrics
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple sites and projects simultaneously
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint); experience with EHR systems preferred
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality (CPHQ) or similar certification
Experience working with outpatient surgical centers or specialty clinics
Familiarity with value-based care models and quality reporting programs
Work Environment & Travel
Primarily based in South Florida with regular travel between outpatient centers
Hybrid flexibility depending on operational needs
