Hospice Nurse (RN)
Location: Greater Indianapolis, IN | Full-time
Nmble Medical is seeking a compassionate and experienced Hospice Registered Nurse (RN) to join a growing team in the Indianapolis area. The Hospice RN provides skilled nursing care to patients with terminal illnesses while supporting families through every stage of the hospice journey. This role focuses on comfort care, symptom management, patient advocacy, and emotional support in home and facility settings.
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive hospice nursing care to patients in accordance with physician orders and individualized care plans
Perform patient assessments and monitor changes in condition
Manage pain and symptoms to maximize patient comfort and quality of life
Educate patients and families on disease progression, medications, and end-of-life care
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including physicians, social workers, chaplains, and aides
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Participate in on-call rotation as needed
Ensure compliance with hospice regulations, standards, and company policies
Qualifications
Active Indiana Registered Nurse (RN) license
Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience required
Hospice, home health, oncology, geriatrics, or palliative care experience preferred
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate bedside manner and commitment to patient-centered care
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
